Charity Partner

Lost Arrow Sports is proud to have the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative (HWPI) as our charity partner since 2018. A portion of the proceeds from our events will be donated to HWPI.

HWPI is a 501c3 organization that supports development of non-motorized trails throughout our region. Their work is grounded in the idea that people of all ages, abilities, income levels, and interests have the right to safely access nature and enjoy the outdoors. They believe that recreational trails support both physical and mental health, provide safer commuting options, benefit local economies, connect communities, and reduce our region’s carbon footprint.

Our relationship with the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative began with our support of their Karen’s Trail Campaign in 2018. Karen McKeachie, a pioneer in women’s sports, world-class triathlete, community leader and a beloved friend of many, tragically lost her life in August of 2016 while biking near her home.It is the wish of Karen’s husband, family and friends to honor Karen’s life and legacy by building the Border-to-Border Trail (B2B Trail) and providing safe, non- motorized pathways for all.

To find out more about how HWPI supports the completion of the B2B Trail, visit their website at huron-waterloo-pathways.org. To plan your next visit to the trail please visit B2BTrail.org.
