March 7, 2021: 2021 Race Season is here!
2021 Race Season is here!
After a very unusual 2020 and a slow start to 2021, we are finally ready to announce three events for the 2021 Race Season! As most of you are aware, the majority of our events are held at Michigan State Parks. Due to the restrictions that have been in place for the past few months, there was a large amount of uncertainty as to what 2021 would look like for us. With the latest announcement of easing restrictions for outdoor gatherings, we are optimistically proceeding with the following events:
-
- Nain Rough Gaine (3/6 hr Rogaine) – April 24, 2021
- Get Your Bearings (4 hr Adventure Race) – May 15, 2021
- Fall Challenge (2/4/6 hr Adventure Race) – October 2, 2021
Please check out each race page for event details, we look forward to seeing everyone soon!
August 26, 2020: Fall Challenge 2-4-6 Cancelled
Due to unforeseen circumstances the race director for Fall Challenge 2-4-6 will not be able to put on the event as planned. It will be delayed until Fall 2021. Click here to read a letter from race director, Mark W.
In its place, we are going to hold an event the same day on Oct 10th, but moving the location to Island Lake Rec Area. We will have a 2 hour beginner race and a 6 hour intermediate/advanced race. We will not hold the 4 hour event. Those that already registered will be contacted separately regarding their current registration status.

March 16, 2020: Get Your Bearings AR Race Announcement
We have continued to monitor all of the information available regarding the current health event taking place and how it impacts our event schedule. The information and details are changing rapidly and constantly. In light of the recent recommendations by the CDC, we have officially rescheduled Get Your Bearings Adventure Race to September 12, 2020. This was not what we were hoping for, however we believe this is the right decision at this time.
For those who have already registered for Get Your Bearings previously scheduled for May 2, we are offering 2 options:
Option 1: Keep your registration as it is and you will continue to be registered for the September 12th race date.
Option 2: Contact us via email (info@lostarrowsports.com) for a full refund, no later than March 31st. You can still re-register again for the September 12th race in the future.
We have temporarily taken down the registration link while we make the necessary updates for the event. As soon as we have everything updated, we will once again open registration for Get Your Bearings for the September 12th race date.
Thank you for your patience and support!
January 25, 2020 – Lost Arrow Sports adds a 3 Hour event to Nain Rouge Gaine!
Lost Arrow Sports is adding a new length to the Nain Rouge Gaine, there is now a 3 Hour option available! Their reasoning for adding this length to Nain Rouge Gaine is to offer a shorter event for those who want to experience Rogaining but aren’t yet up for the 6 Hour challenge. They hope this gives other racers the change to participate in this great event. Registration is currently open for both events.
June 7, 2019 – Lost Arrow Sports Announces 2019 Legend of the Dogman as a 24 HR Rogaine
Lost Arrow Sports is bringing back Legend of the Dogman, but this time they have upped the ante and increased it from an 18 Hour Rogaine to a 24 Hour one! Their reasoning for increasing the length of this event is to offer an event in Southeast Michigan that can be used as a pre-qualifier for the World Rogaining Championships in California, August 1-2, 2020. Dogman will not be an officially sanctioned event as an automatic qualifier, but you will be able to use it for the wildcard spots that will be available after the automatic qualifiers register. Legend of the Dogman will also have an 8 Hour option available. Registration opens June 16, 2019.

February 22, 2018 – Lost Arrow Sports Announces Charity Partner!
Lost Arrow Sports is pleased to announce Karen’s Trail as our charity partner for 2018. A portion of the proceeds from all our 2018 events will be donated to Karen’s Trail.
About the Karen’s Trail Campaign
Karen McKeachie, a pioneer in women’s sports, world-class triathlete, community leader and a beloved friend of many, tragically lost her life in August of 2016 while biking near her home. It is the wish of Karen’s husband, family and friends to honor Karen’s life and legacy by building the Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail and providing safe, non- motorized pathways for all.
The campaign is a public, grass roots effort with the dual purpose of constructing the B2B and commemorating Karen. Your support will enable construction of an additional 21 miles of the Border-to-Border trail system within the next five years. This will be a paved, non-motorized trail that follows the Huron River all the way from its entry into Washtenaw County in the northeast to its exit into Wayne County near Belleville. The Trail also continues west through the Waterloo Recreation Area, exiting into Jackson County. To find out about opportunities for community engagement or how you can support the trail, please visit their website at huron-waterloo-pathways.org
